Hour 2: Guest Mix: JB Vries (Opulent Temple / San Francisco)
This months guest mix comes from JB Vries, whom Christopher discovered playing for Opulent Temple at last years Burning Man. Drawing influence from travels around the world, Asia to Africa, Europe and South America, JB Vries' motivations have always been based in rhythm and melody. Growing up in the Midwest United States he knew early on his life's direction would be a musical one and with this in mind he took his show on the road. While studying Audio Engineering in Florida, he began learning the art mixing in the studio as well as a DJ in the Orlando nightclub and underground dance scene.

Producing a variety of dance genres, all with a driving and psychedelic undertone, JB has his sights set on bringing his flavor of progressive dance music to festivals and nightclubs the world over. Main reference of Trance Music in Quebec City, Seven Ways is the man behind Transition Productions since 2001. He's the one who produces the widely recognized and reputable BLACK LIGHT each Halloween, VISION on Easter week-ends, TRANSITION NIGHTS as well, in addition to collaborate with many productions including Flow Productions, Kanibalz Collective and Old School prods.

He has invited and played alongside great artists such as John 00 Fleming, Christopher Lawrence, Dino Psaras, System Nipel, Nick Sentience, CPU,, Tiësto, ATB, DJ Dan, Magnus and Nicholas Benisson.

His experience is largely a result of his work with Old School productions, which generate events in Quebec City from 300 to 4000 guests, including The New-Year Party: INTENSE. But on the other hand, it should be noted that originally, it is through production Kool Kats and Kashmir nightclub where it all began ... Since 2000, the managing of rave parties in halls/theaters and club nights had imposed themselves, with also promotion of new music styles or a particular artist!

As a DJ, his style is unique, an energetic, atmospheric, mostly PROGRESSIVE, TRANCE with psy, electro, house & techno sonorities. Seven Ways performs various commitments that have helped developing a bewildering versatility, but with all the quality and fluidity of the mix that he knows...

In recent years, we all have heard him in the biggest events and clubs in town (Tiësto at Quebec City Exhibition Centre, Woodstook-en-Beauce, Intense, Black Light, Dagobert Nightclub, Maurice Nightclub, Boudoir Lounge, Sonar, La Bombe Afterhours, Vision), but outside the Capital has not been left as many times does one has invited him in Montreal (Circus Afterhours, Aria Afterhours), Trois-Rivieres (Boom), Sherbrooke (Gruv Afterhours) and Saguenay, to name a few. Seven Ways now has a radio show of global audience, VISION OF TRANCE, especially for broadcasting more underground Trance Music on one of the most important electronic music radios: AH.FM. Christopher Lawrence crashes into November as he gears up for Creamfields in Buenos Aires, a city which he describes as his “home away from home”. Christopher’s tough techno trance has found huge and loyal fan base in Argentina where he regularly plays events from SAMC to Pacha and of course, Creamfields. We will present the first hour of Christopher’s set from Creamfields next month on Rush Hour.
Also in November, Christopher returned to Medellin, Colombia as well as Washington DC where he played the cities largest indoor festival - Fall Massive!

Hour 2: Guest Mix: Damian Murillo (Runner up - Rush Hour DJ Mix Contest).
This months guest is a Rush Hour DJ Mix contest runner up, Damian Murillo. From a young age Damian was fascinated and intrigued by the sounds of electronic dance music. At age 8 he first discovered the raw sounds of hard house through a cousin of his who was a DJ in the LA underground rave scene at the time. Damian had never hard music like that and was truly mesmerized by the art of djing. The seeds for Damian’s future passion for djing were planted early on.  At age 12 Damian acquired has first pair of turntables and began his DJ career. Initially playing hip-hop at house parties he later attended his first electronic dance music event, the Monster Massive Halloween music festival in 2006 and his life was forever changed that night. Having discovered the soaring melodies and driving baselines of trance music reignited his spark and love of djing and shortly after he began frequenting electronic dance music events and collecting and djing as much electronic dance music as he could. He continued to practice and hone his skills until he landed his first professional booking by age 19.  Now in his early 20’s Damian lives and breathes electronic dance music and the art of djing is his life’s passion. Already having played alongside some of the biggest names in trance music including M.I.K.E, Stoneface & Terminal, The Space Rockerz, Norin & Rad and many more, Damian is an upcoming talent with his eclectic blend of progressive, tech, psy and trance and meticulous attention to detail in his set programming. Always a crowd favorite among the Southern California rave and club scene crowds the sky is the limit for Damian and he is definitely a name to look out for in the coming years.

Christopher is also recovering from a massive birthday weekend which included Wet Electric in Orange County and Avalon Hollywood, where he played back to back with label mate and touring partner John 00 Fleming.

Now Christopher Lawrence returns to the airwaves for the October episode of Rush Hour. Christopher features new tracks from Andy Paterson & Outflow, John Askew, Paul Webster, Sideform, Saint X, Too Many Artists, Cosmic Station & Bunker Jack, plus a whopping five new tracks by Indecent Noise, one in conjunction with Des McMahon and one with Colin James. This months guest mix comes from Eric Allen, who Christopher recently played alongside at Vancouver’s legendary afterhours Gorgomish. For most DJs, playing over sixty gigs a year, holding down multiple club residencies, an internationally aired radio show and playing alongside some of the world’s biggest DJs including, among others, Gabriel & Dresden, Marco V, Above and Beyond, John O’Callaghan, Sean Tyas, Christopher Lawrence, and that’s just to name a few, would be crowning achievements on a strong career of DJ’ing. Eric Allen continues to do all these things and more all with his best years still far ahead of him.

Introduced to electronic music at age 15, Eric had his first set of decks shortly thereafter and the rest as they say, is history. Hour 2: Guest Mix: Fergie & Sadrian (Pharmacy / Argentina).

This months guest mix comes from Fergie & Sadrian comprises Fernando Picciano and Adrian Sartore. These two producers are based in Buenos Aires and influenced by the Uplifting trance & tech trance sound of producers such as Simon Patterson, Christopher Lawrence, Bryan Kearney, John Askew, Activa and Reaky.

The duo met in mid-2009 and produced their first release "Voyage". The track was released by Soviet Recording and supported by Suzy Solar, Christopher Lawrence, Bart Claessen and many more.

Busy in the studio in 2010, they produced two outstanding remixes "Flash Fire" by Trancelicious and "Try" by Roger Antux. The duo also released their first EP, which is called "Trance Traffic Ahead". Fergie & Sadrian currently doing a collaboration with fellow singer Tartarus and Michelle Hutcheson titled “Beyond the Rainbow”.

Other projects include production in conjunction with Tartarus and Jan Johnston, plus remixes of the tracks “Define Love” and “Somethings Missing”. 
In June 2011 Fergie & Sadrian released a new EP on Pharmacy Music, which comprises the tracks “Musulman T” & “Understand Nothing”. Support in by everyone from Activa, Binary Finary, Jonathan Allyn, Magnus, Manuel Le Saux, Paul Trainer and more.

Hour 2: Guest Mix: J. Michael Kober  (First runner up - Rush Hour DJ Mix Contest).
This months guest mix comes from J. Michael Kober, who was the first runner up in our Rush Hour DJ Mix Contest last month.
Montana is probably one of the last places you'd think of when it comes to a cutting-edge electronic music scene, and for good reason. With its empty plains, vast mountains, brutal winters and Old West authenticity, Montana is better suited for cattle ranching than trendy nightlife. Breaking away from the cowboy stereotype comes J. Michael Kober, a relative newcomer to the scene. Having grown frustrated with the overground, commercial Pop direction Trance was taking in 2007, he decided to dive into the world of music production. Over the course of the next few years, J. Michael familiarized himself with the technology and techniques that would eventually allow him to develop his sound: a blend of Progressive, Tech and Psy Trance with a focus on deep, dark, aggressive rhythms.
A demo sent to JOOF Recordings in early 2010 caught the attention of John 00 Fleming, who featured it as the track of the month on his radio show and promptly signed it to his label, enlisting Rush Hour stalwart Magnus for the remix. The original mix was later featured on the first volume of the JOOF DJ Sessions series. Since then, J. Michael has been honing his craft and stepping up his productions. April 2011 saw his 2nd release, "Clear Form", as the debut EP on the newly formed JOOF V.2 label. Forthcoming releases include remixes of both a new Timewave single and a track from John 00 Fleming's debut artist album.
Kober's DJ career began in 2009 with a residency on Sense.FM. "The Essential Edge" aired for over a year before he cancelled it due to creative differences. The past 10 months have shown a remarkable boom in interest for electronic music in his hometown of Billings. J. Michael has been very supportive in developing the local scene, working with promoters, owners and other DJ's, helping gain awareness of a style of music that's new to the area. While Electro and Dubstep are the most popular genres locally, Kober uses the different events and club nights to explore other electronic styles, including Progressive House, Breaks and Drum & Bass.
As for the future, J. Michael Kober plans to continue learning the nuances of music production and DJing while delivering proper, serious Trance untainted by the mainstream.

This month is a very special event... the Three Year Anniversary of Rush Hour featuring a special guest mix by the winner of our DJ Mix Contest which has run over the past few months. We received hundreds of entries and been wowed by the quality of talent out there.

Christopher Lawrence returns to the airwaves tomorrow for another massive installment of Rush Hour. "America's Top Trance DJ" has been production overdrive, taking almost two months off touring to complete his third artist album. He has five new singles including The Seeker and Rock It lined up ready to, as well as upcoming remixes for LMFAO, Lords of Acid, Reaky and Talla 2XLC, who is this months guest on Rush Hour.
Christopher Lawrence and Talla recently toured Thailand together, including the Zoom Festival in Pattaya. They join together again for this special episode of Rush Hour.
Having had well over 100 releases, collaborations and compilations to his name, Talla is and will forever be considered an icon in the electronic music community. He has held residencies all over the world, including some of the biggest music festivals, dance brands and venues. He is also recognized for starting one of the first ever all electronic music dance clubs in the world, “Technoclub”, which is accredited to launching the careers of some of today’s biggest names. Born Victor Krasniqi to an Albanian family, Victor was the youngest of five in the first generation in America. Growing into his role as a young DJ in New York City, Dinaire spent countless hours in the underground dance scene honing the craft and learning the art of programming from masters such as Junior Vasquez. Promoting and throwing events to showcase his own sound, Victor quickly began to build up momentum behind his name. The record executives at BMG / Logic Records took notice, and soon offered him the opportunity to mix a series of compilation CDs for the label. His first release "Logic Trance 4" went straight into the Top 5 on the CMJ charts and proceeded to sell out, as did the Timeless Trance series “Midnight and Morning Sessions” and the following “Entrance" on Bonzai Music Italy / Megahit US.

From this initial success, Victor was soon performing out in clubs across the US as a regular at NY's heralded Arc nightclub, Spundae LA, Avalon Hollywood, On Broadway San Diego, and as resident for 2 years at Blue, Miami. Turning his attention towards expanding his audience on a larger scale, Victor began his domination of the airwaves. His weekly radio show "Peak Hour" on Sirius Satellite Radio was soon followed by "Resident Nation" on Music Choice TV, and ultimately Future Progression on XM. Seeking to push dance music beyond the airwaves, Victor took Future Progression to a new level by throwing his legendary New York City loft parties of the same name creating both an immense following in the club and on the air.

Back from an Asian tour in December 2010 which touched down in India, Thailand and Taiwan.. and a huge NYE in NYC at Hammerstein Ballroom with Infected Mushroom, Christopher Lawrence returns to the airwaves for his first installment of Rush Hour for 2011.

This month's special guest is Magnus, a previous 'Rush Hour' guest and trance prodigy from Seattle who has several releases under his belt on Christopher Lawrence's label Pharmacy Music.

A Maryland native, Magnus has called Seattle, Washington home for the past 9 years. He got his start in 2002 by playing out around the area at club events and parties under the DJ name of “Magnus”.
 Magnus has had several releases on Pharmacy, JOOF, and Audacious in addition to tracks appearing on CD compilations by Ministry of Sound and Moist Music. Also producing frequently under his "Michael Lee" alias, he has seen releases on Discover with his tracks supported by Aly and Fila, Sean Tyas, and John Askew. Magnus has an upcoming Michael Lee release on Discover entitled Everblue with a remix by Adam Foley. His greatest accomplishment to date was winning the Sean Tyas Melbourne remix competition in 2009.

Magnus's style is somewhat of a crossover between trance and psytrance, incorporating characteristics of each into his music. His style uses grindy, acidic synths and basslines that forge together to produce an energetic and uplifting sound. His tracks have been played and supported around the world by Christopher Lawrence and John Fleming. With several releases on both Pharmacy and JOOF coming in the months ahead, 2010 will be a big year for Magnus. Slated for release very soon are tracks Forward Command, The Memory, Final Resolve, and First Born.

Continuing with his ‘Rush Hour International Tour’, Christopher Lawrence touched down in cities from Fort Lauderdale, Baltimore and San Diego to Portland and San DIego over the past few weeks, with Edmonton, Seattle, Las Vegas, Raleigh and more cities coming up this month. Christopher has a great show lined up this month with new tracks from Insert Name, Etic, Interactive Noise, Biotronic Project, Gordon Coutts, Ian_Booth, FeI_Fei, Nick Sentience and Diagnostic.

HIs special guest this month is Reaky from Slovenia. Reaky began producing music at sixteen years of age. He began DJing in 2000 and by 2002 Reaky was booked in clubs all over Slovenia. Later that year Reaky founded Techno Jugend Organization and became a resident on »Confusion« party series in club ŠTUK in Maribor. From 2003 till 2005 Reaky was a co-promoter of a very successful Mature Minds parties. The year 2004 was very busy for Reaky, he was playing almost every weekend in almost every Slovenian club and also abroad in neighbouring countries becoming one of the most booked techno DJs in Slovenia at that time. In 2005 Reaky released his first single »Fseko« on Omega Audio Recordings. By the end of the year he also entered the »Dr.Motte - Open your mind« remix contest (www.praxxiz.de) and won the 1st place.

In 2006 Reaky started again organizing the »Euphoria« parties, which became one of the hottest events in Maribor. The year 2007 came and after 8 years of producing Reaky was finally satisfied with the sound quality of most of his newest tracks, so releases started coming out more often. He also established his own label »Penetration Nation Records« together with his friend, dj & producer Mark Ankh. By the end of the year 2008 Reaky has already released his driving techno tracks and remixes on labels like Penetration Nation, Omega Audio, Yin Yang, Insane Life, Analog Mode, Propulsion, Standbite Music, Emphatic, Soul Access, DJ Special Needs, Ambig, Sound Evolution, Drakos, Techment, Keep On Techno, Invalid Error, TMM... Most of his releases were very successful, constantly dominating top places of many techno charts and played by the biggest techno and trance DJs on the planet. One of the 2008 successes was also appearance of Reaky's track »Absinthe party« on FIRE IT UP mixed CD compilation by superstar Eddie Halliwell, joining the names like Armin Van Buuren, Sander Van Doorn, Chris Liebing and others on this CD. Year 2009 was the busiest so far. Performing all over Europe, releasing tracks and remixes on the best techno and tech-trance labels, constantly being on top of the leading techno charts, appearing in dj sets, radio shows and CD compilations of the world's biggest DJs...

After all these years of hard work Reaky has become internationaly recognised by his unique driving techno tunes. Instead of being seduced by new trends in the electronic music scene as most of the electronic artists in the world, Reaky maintains his own unique style and he is still even improving it. Back from his recent tour of Argentina with shows at Pacha in Buenos Aires and Infierno in Cordoba, Christopher Lawrence has a fantastic two hours of trance lined up this month featuring new tracks by Nyquist, Skyloops, NDSA, Agnostic and two by Alternative Control.

Last month, Rush Hour hit an incredible benchmark with over 250,000 requests for our podcast. The shows downloads have increased steadily since it launched almost three years ago, but this year has seen a massive leap in requests.  Jordan Stevens has been DJing since 2003. Starting off in the West Coast USA rave scene he quickly became an underground favorite. In 2005 he decided it was time to make the jump to the club scene, landing his first residency at Las Vegas's #1 afterhours, late night Empire. From there he went on to open for the likes of Christopher Lawrence, Judge Jules, and Eddie Halliwell. He was a mainstay in the club until 2008 when Empire Ballroom closed its doors for the last time.
Jordan’s career soon kickstarted into full force starting with openings at Godskitchen in the trance show scene with ATB, 4 Strings, and Above and Beyond to name a few. Jordan soon captured the attention of Mike Fuller at the Palms and was brought into play all the major dance music events, including Paul Oakenfold's "Perfecto" and Goodlife Sundays at Moon.

This months special guests are Sub6, who are brothers Golan and Ohad Aharony. They started making electronic music in 1999 and have become one of the biggest trance acts in the world. Back from the Winter Music Conference in Miami, where he played a record number of shows for 2010, including Judgement Sundays, AM Only’s ‘One Night Only’, Nikki Beach and the IDMA’s Afterparty, Christopher Lawrence presented a massive ‘Rush Hour’ in April 2010.
In the first hour, Christopher features his set live from Judgement Sundays at WMC.
Christopher joined the line up of Judgement Sundays as it celebrated its 10th year of being Ibiza's busiest night with a special Miami WMC party featuring resident Judge Jules, Sean Tyas and Second Sun. Located at at La Folie D'Amour in South Beach, this was a fantastic night with industry A-listers and fans coming together to enjoy one of the best trance line ups of the Conference.
For the guest mix of this months Rush Hour, Christopher has dug into the vaults and found a rare live recording from the Belgian festival Antwerp Is Burning.
Antwerp Is Burning was the largest youth event in Antwerp between 2000 and 2004.
In 2004, Christopher Lawrence headlined the event along with Armin Van Buuren, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth and DJ M.I.K.E.
It was an unforgettable night which Christopher brings to you as a special mix presentation this month.

The journey started for Danny Powers back in the summer of 1998, his first encounter of proper trance music was coming across the Gatecrasher Black Compilation, the rest as they say ‘is history’. This led him onto buying the next two in the series and really kicked his trance passion into gear. Listening to this style of music while he was 15 seemed weird as it was a break from the chart trash flying around at that time. He instantly got hooked on those riffs, how could an instrumental based form of music get him so hooked?!   His first club experience was the good ol’ Mezzaine in Wolverhampton, hearing the likes of Flat 6’s ‘It’s too late’ on a loud system for the first time was something he wasn’t going to forget as a young clubber. Next up was regular visits to Godskitchen at the newly opened venue Air, then Gatecrasher events at the NEC. This then led onto a passion for his first favourite DJ, this being the Dutch trance maestro DJ Tiesto. After buying the DJ Tiesto compilation ‘Revolutions’, this spiralled into him buying the In search of Sunrise comp’s, Magik Journey series and any other Tiesto related Cd’s. Alongside Tiesto he also started listening to the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Marco V. All these artists have had effect on me till this present day, whether it to be there productions or DJ sets. He travelled up and down the country following these DJ’s, whether it be Gatecrasher at The Republic or Heaven in London, Passion at the Emporium or Slinky at the Opera House etc ... He soon realised that He wanted one day to be on the other side of the DJ booth.   In the summer of 2007 he started his own label nu-depth recordings with the intention of hopefully one day competing with the big guns. Vandit, Discover, Euphonic, Conspiracy all these labels have been influential to him the last couple of years and their sound is what he’s tried to incorporate onto the label, just with a bit added depth!!! Kicking off his project was Mark Eteson & Jon Prior’s ‘Dynamic Stability’; this was backed with a big euphoric Remix from Aly & Fila and a punchy workout from Frase. This released featured on Armin’s ‘A State OF Trance’ show and most recently on Tiesto’s ‘Club Life’ show. Other supporters of the nu-depth sound include John Askew, Jon O’Bir, John O’Callaghan (my current heroes!!!) Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Ronski Speed, Matt Darey, Mark Eteson, Activa, MIKE, Kuffdam & Plant, Marcos, Frase and many more.   In 2008 Danny Powers released his first remix on nu-depth. His remix of Airborne Angel’s ‘The Unit’ was played by Mark Pledger and featured on his Anjuna Beats Worldwide show. Next up was his first ep on nu-depth, ‘Eternal Call’ received support from DJ Tiesto and it received seven plays on Radio One from Judge Jules, John O’Callaghan (his Essential Mix) and Dave Pearce. The other track on the ep ‘Frequency’ got support from John Askew, Aly & Fila, Christopher Lawrence and many more. This led to remixes for Flux Delux (Vicky Devine’s ‘Facing The Truth’, which was played by Paul Van Dyk on VONYC) Perceptive and nu-depth digital. With his next ep on the way the future is looking bright .

With more releases and remixes forthcoming on nu-depth from him, he hopes one day that he will be able to rub shoulders with the likes of the above names, one day hopefully. As he read somewhere before ‘If you don’t have a vision of where you want to go, you won’t get there’.

Dirtyloud: a bouncing subconsciouness-touchy dance music duo from Brazil.
Eduardo was a bass player and Marcus had been a dj for a long time. Both have passion for music. Right after they first met, the now "duo" began putting their knowledge together.
Eduardo with his hard & funky music background (RHCP, Brothers Johnson, Chic, P-Funk to name a few) and Marcus with his dancefloor smashing experience (Progressive House/Trance) and the huge affinity they have in front of a computer screen were essential to result in a fresh and exciting dancefloor music experience.
The first gig happened in March 2009 when more than 3000 dancers attended the venue. Their first release in September/2009 reached #3 on Beatport's Electro-House downloads with the track "Disco Recordz" (Charted by Dave AudÈ, Gary Caos and PANTyRAID). Right after the huge success, they were requested to work with Atlantic Records and are collaborating with labels like Spintwist Records, Big Fish Recordings and Savage Media.
Since then, Dirtyloud pledges a place among the major electro house players worldwide.

This month's special guest is Magnus, a previous 'Rush Hour' guest and trance prodigy from Seattle who has several releases under his belt on Christopher Lawrence's label Pharmacy Music.

A Maryland native, Magnus has called Seattle, Washington home for the past 9 years. He got his start in 2002 by playing out around the area at club events and parties under the DJ name of “Magnus”.
 Magnus has had several releases on Pharmacy, JOOF, and Audacious in addition to tracks appearing on CD compilations by Ministry of Sound and Moist Music. Also producing frequently under his "Michael Lee" alias, he has seen releases on Discover with his tracks supported by Aly and Fila, Sean Tyas, and John Askew. Magnus has an upcoming Michael Lee release on Discover entitled Everblue with a remix by Adam Foley. His greatest accomplishment to date was winning the Sean Tyas Melbourne remix competition in 2009.

Magnus's style is somewhat of a crossover between trance and psytrance, incorporating characteristics of each into his music. His style uses grindy, acidic synths and basslines that forge together to produce an energetic and uplifting sound. His tracks have been played and supported around the world by Christopher Lawrence and John Fleming. With several releases on both Pharmacy and JOOF coming in the months ahead, 2010 will be a big year for Magnus. Slated for release very soon are tracks Forward Command, The Memory, Final Resolve, and First Born.

Famous for his tough trance sound, Christopher Lawrence joins forces with his wife Sara for a new DJ side project 'Mr + Mrs Smith'.

The pair, who have worked together behind the scenes for fifteen years have brought their joint efforts into the public eye with this new DJ duo, which debuted at this years Burning Man festival.
Christopher laughs "I've been noticing there's a lot of DJs working in pairs lately. I've often thought it would be nice to have a wingman up there, although in this case, it's actually a wingwoman. I don't know of any other mixed sex DJ duos, let alone any husband and wife teams, so I think we're definitely breaking some new ground here".
Christopher continues "Mr + Mrs Smith' is an opportunity for me to play music that I couldn't normally incorporate into my trance sets".

So what is the sound? "I would describe it as electro house meets techno" says Sara. "But we'll play any genre, we don't care what it is as long as it's tough and sexy, with a groove".

One thing is for certain, dance music's newest Dj duo has everyone talking...

"Mr Smith" (AKA Christopher Lawrence) needs no introduction. One of the World's leading dance music talents, Christopher has received numerous awards and accolades. Winner of “Best American DJ” at the IDMA’s, Christopher is also a recent recipient of the "Best DJ" at both the Dancestar US Awards and Los Angeles Music Awards. He has additionally been nominated in Dancestar UK Awards, DJ Awards, International Trance Awards, Global DJ Mix Awards and IDMA’s to name a few. Christopher has also graced the covers of countless magazines, newspapers and publications worldwide, as well as headlining the worlds biggest superclubs and festivals.

"Mrs Smith" (AKA Sara Finlayson) is a dance music veteran. A regular at Melbourne's gay clubs in the eighties ("the only places you could hear good dance music in Australia"), she worked in the nightclub industry, before moving to London in the early nineties to work at Tower Records dance department. She was active in the London rave scene of the early nineties, before moving to Los Angeles, where she met "Mr Smith" (AKA Christopher Lawrence, a struggling bedroom DJ) and they were married shortly after. Continuing her career in dance music, Sara worked for several years for German techno star Sven Vath at the LA office of his labels Eye Q Music / Harthouse before becoming the Los Angeles editor of respected US electronic music mag XLR8R. During this time, Sara also produced music with Moonshine Music producer Dave Aude under the moniker Mile High. It was also in the late nineties that Sara formed Monster Media, a PR and management company specializing in dance music, under which she managed the careers of artists including husband Christopher Lawrence, a position she continues to this day. A familiar face backstage in the dance music industry, Sara brings her tough attitude out of the shadows and into the DJ booth with 'Mr + Mrs Smith'.

Psychoholic (aka M.Pravda) is a project founded in Toronto Canada in 2004. Currently based in Moscow, Russia, Psycoholic became highly respected as producer and DJ through his unique style, determination and unforgettable live performance. He always trying to experiment with the sound and collaborate various styles of music in his production.

In his carrier regularly played alongside heavy hitters or headlined his own gigs all over the world: from Canada to Brazil, Russia and Europe. Guest of famous festivals such as: World Electronic Music Festival (WEMF) in Canada, "Kazantip" in Ukraine, "Kokum Koya" in Brazil and many others.

After his debut album "Trance World Order" released on Psy Spy Records in 2008, Psycoholic is known as one of the best year's producers in his genre, among clubbers and professionals.

Special Guest: Carlo Calabro

Kamil Kwiatkowski (AKA Carlo Calabro) – born in 1986 in southern Poland. When you ask his parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, friends and ex girlfriends a question “was there any indication Kamil would take up music?”, everyone will give you the same answer: “Nothing at all!”.

A producer?
In 2006 he accidentally came cross a compilation of music people around called “trance”. After hearing a first record Kamil felt like listening another one and another, and another… Couple of months passed when he shouted loud like a small child: “I wanna make such music!”. And then it all begun… When the field was sufficiently recognized and he knew “which buttons to press” he started pressing (that is: producing). His first track made only by himself fitted for….. release! A small label and the track didn’t turn out to be a hit, but… who cares! Carlo Calabro got a massive shot of motivation for further work. „You want, you can”, right?

Things Carlo Calabro did in the second half of 2007 took Fektive Records fancy (Carlo hopes they fancy him still). As the first record of the independent Dutch company was being prepared, Carlo found some time to make two more remixes. For whom? For Marcus Schossow and Glenn Morrison. Nice huh? Bear in mind our guy had a six months
of experience at the moment…

Year 2008 was busy (almost each producer has a thought like that in his/her biography so let's just place it here). A single „Heart of Stone” recorded with Tiff Lacey came to light. Apart from that: remixes, remixes, remixes... Not for any old guys though. Filo & Peri, Mr. Pit, Mac Zimms. Solid Sessions. During the same period, Carlo Calabro’s releases landed twice on Beatport’s Top10 chart. It is then pleasure to announce: Carlo Calabro is not a chart virgin any more!

Current year brought more conscious going-on of Carlo (it takes some time to find your own style, doesn’t it?). He knows which direction to go and he consequently go that way remembering determination and patience is what really counts. Year 2009 is devoted mainly to work on his own material. Carlo found some time to make remixes. Sied Van Riel („Darklight”), Leon Bolier („Selffullfilling Prophecy”)... Yes, yes. And that’s enough info for now! Just expect new remixes and Carlo Calabro’s singles coming soon. You won’t be disappointed.

A DJ?
Yes, of course! Carlo was invited by Tiesto himself to “Club Life”. However, “15 Minutes of Fame” is still ahead! From March 2007 Carlo hosts a monthly “Pushing the Bar” in the most popular Internet radio - Digitally Imported (www.di.fm). On each first Friday of a month, except for Carlo Calabro’s sets, you can hear one additional guest. Until now among Carlo’s guests were: Jonas Steur, Ernesto vs. Bastian, Leon Bolier, Sied Van Riel, Daniel Wanrooy, Marcus Schossow. And if you would like to see Carlo playing in a club or during some huge event (he took part in Colors Of Sounds and Electrocity 4 among others), just have a look on his schedule and come. Having the opportunity we confirm that
Carlo leaves his studio only when he really needs to, that is when he goes on for a booking, goes to sleep, eats, pisses or when his girlfriend tells him to do so.

Jordan Stevens has been DJing since 2003. Starting off in the West Coast USA rave scene he quickly became an underground favorite. In 2005 he decided it was time to make the jump to the club scene, landing his first residency at Las Vegas's #1 afterhours, late night Empire. From there he went on to open for the likes of Christopher Lawrence, Judge Jules, and Eddie Halliwell. He was a mainstay in the club until 2008 when Empire Ballroom closed its doors for the last time.

Jordan’s career soon kickstarted into full force starting with openings at Godskitchen in the trance show scene with ATB, 4 Strings, and Above and Beyond to name a few. Jordan soon captured the attention of Mike Fuller at the Palms and was brought into play all the major dance music events, including Paul Oakenfold's "Perfecto" and Goodlife Sundays at Moon. At 26 years of age, the sky is the limit for this up and coming DJ.

Marcos Paz is the number one resident at Buenos Aires legendary superclub Pacha. It was there that Christopher Lawrence first heard Marcos and was blown away by his strong tech progressive sound.

Marco has worked as resident at some of Argentina’s most prestigious clubs including, El Divino, Caix and Ski Ranch, as well headlining clubs such as Villa Gessel at Pueblo Limite. Marcos has also graced the line ups of some of South America’s biggest festivals including Creamfields. He has played alongside the World’s biggest Djs from Hernan Cattaneo to Sander Kleinenberg and of course Christopher Lawrence.

A San Francisco native and DJ since 1991, DJ Taj emotes the artistic essence of the city's counterculture history. He has both a unique look and mixing style that garners significant attention. Coupled with his diversity is his passion and dedication to the art of being a musician. Hard work has led him to prestigious West Coast residencies with club brands Spundae, in San Francisco, and United State of Consciousness, in Seattle.

While maintaining these residencies for the past several years Taj has also performed at many illustrious parties and clubs, which have taken him to un unprecedented level as a West Coast DJ. In San Francisco Taj has played for seven continuous years at legendary club 1015 Folsom, held a two year residency at the famous Pablo's Sugar Shack, as well as a three year residency at his self produced event Zendada. Taj has also maintained a two and a half year residency at Baby's at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and is always a favorite at the Velvet club in St. Louis, including the headlining spot for their annual NYE "White Ball" for 2002.

Having built a strong reputation for rocking the party, it was only natural that Taj was tapped to play dates for UK super clubs Ministry of Sound and Cream on their U.S. tours. He has also appeared at Spundae and United States of Consciousness annual anniversary shows and special events.

Taj's perseverance as a DJ has led him to international gigs in Paris, France; Istanbul, Turkey; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Mexico City, Mexico; and Vancouver, British Columbia. He has been chosen by West Coast promoters to perform opening or closing sets for most of the world's top DJ talent: Carl Cox, Sasha, Paul van Dyk, Chemical Brothers, Seb Fontaine, Timo Maas, Hybrid, Westbam, Boy George, Pete Tong, DJ Dan, Stacy Pullen, BT, DJ Sneak, Doc Martin, Sandra Collins, Christopher Lawrence, Todd Terry…you get the idea!

In 1999 Peers and Punters voted Taj as the most versatile DJ in San Francisco. This well deserved honor reflects his love for the music. His well-crafted sets and diverse styles include funky house, quality trance, breakbeat and progressive house. Speaking of progressive house Taj also currently reviews records for North America's monthly publication of BPM culture magazine.

Introduced to music firsthand at the age of thirteen, Taj played the standup base. Learning to read and write music has naturally led him into producing. He teamed up with long time friend Dave D to form the production team "The Waller St. Boys". Along with the Bay Area group ETI, they produced the successful LP "City of Gods" on Oboro Records. The LP sold more than 3,500 copies and was selected for several DJ mixed CDs within just a few months of its release.

Working diligently in the studio Taj aims to prove his talents as a producer to express how he feels about the music. As a DJ his ability to ride with and steer an energetic dance crowd further demonstrates his goals and motivation to stay real with the music and open the door that will free people's mind, body and soul.

Special Guest: TyDi (Armada / Australia)

This month's special guest is Australian DJ and producer tyDi. Ranked the 1 DJ in Australia, productions signed to the 1 DJ in the world Armin Van Buuren's record label, Armada and being play listed by artists such as Above & Beyond, Sander Kleinenberg, Andy Moor and Markus Shultz has become all in a days work for Tyson Illingworth.

Resident at Family Nightclub in Brisbane which can proudly claim Australia's 1 Nightclub several years running, it was in 2007 that tyDi's career skyrocketed. Commissioned to mix compilations, tour nationally and support the biggest names in the game were all on the cards quickly. With his energy and sound forged into the national dance floor he was distinctly placed in a league of his own in the Australian Dance Scene. So much so that at the age of nineteen, tyDi was named in the Top 5 DJ's in the Technics inthemix Australian DJ Poll for 2007 alongside superstars such as John Course and Dirty South.
On the production front, tyDi is hard at work in the studio, both electronically and on the live tip working with a wide arrangement of artists and producers. tyDi has remixed single packages alongside Slovenian production wizard Valentino Kanzyani, not to mention collaborations with artists like Andy Moor. As for tyDi originals, well it's quite an achievement to be able to say that you have productions signed to the 1 DJ in the World - Armin Van Buuren's very own label, Armada. Each release, one after the other has made huge impressions on the International scene in 08' featuring on numerous compilations and play listed on radio the world over.
To this date one of tyDi's biggest achievements is being awarded the 1 spot in the Sony inthemix DJ Poll in 2008.

Exercising amazing control, track selection and always full on crowd interaction Persequor is not only a Dj but a performer who always gives 110% to every set played. Now his music has received international recognition from the world biggest Djs Persequor is now ready to take his DJ career to the next level and hit the worlds stage as one the biggest up and coming Dj/producer/remixers in the industry.

Also a talented producer, Persequor has been producing cutting edge tech trance for the last two years. Going from strength to strength this talented Scotsman is beginning to make waves in the scene.
